Hi Bart,
I think I have everything gathered here for your assessment. To aid you in your review, I would suggest the following:
- Start with Lesson Builder. This is the lesson plan as well as the justification for the design. We discussed this approach of combining both requirement in Lesson Builder in many TF session, so I hope you agree. The link to this is to the left, but you will need my user name and password. I will include these in the email I am going to send to you to alert you to check my edublogs.
- The Power Point Presentation can be accessed by clicking on the power point tab above. If you “view” it, you will not have the benefit of the animated box or the sound of the telephone ringing. But I believe you can access those by downloading the file. I did not narrate the entire power point because the point of it is to provide the teacher with an anchor for the lesson. As I indicate in my Lesson Builder, if the projection equipment is not available, the power point slides can be used by the teacher to write information to focus the lesson on the white/black board.
- Bookbuilder can be accessed via the link to the left. I think that should be pretty straightforward.
- The worksheet, which is either a stand alone helper for those not using Bookbuilder or a companion for those using Bookbuilder, can be accessed on the worksheet tab above.
Of course, if you have any problems with this, please let me know. I am taking this class pass/fail, so I do not need a lot of detailed justification for a particular grade. I hope this makes your job easier. As I mentioned to you in your office on Monday, I think I have learned a tremendous amount from this class and I hope it is evident that I have done a lot of thinking and work on this project. If I were taking the class for a grade, I might well do some additional tweeking. Please let me know what you think in this regard.
Just to be complete, you might want to know the following:
- I attended multiple sessions every week (with Chris, Yvonne, Rachel and Peter).
- I took notes on April 7 and uploaded them to the course i-site.
- I did three of the labs: blogger, power point, and bookbuilder.
Thank you for being my TF. I’m so sorry I missed your sessions. It is the one time each week that I cannot be in Cambridge. I know you were so crunched for time and yet you found the time to make a significant contribution to all of our learning.
